Abel Reel Warranty

Thinking of buying a abel super 7 fly reel. Does anyone know wat the warranty is on this reel? Thanks guys!!!!!!!!

I have had good experience with their warranty. I did need to send one back that I think was my fault as I left the drag knob tightened which compressed the cork. They rebuilt it for a very nominal fee including replacing a few parts that did have some signs of corrosion.

On a side note, not sure what size rod you are matching but I have found their reels match up with rod sizes smaller than their reel ratings. My super 11 for instance is my favorite reel on my Xi2 9wt.

I've heard really good things about the Abel warranty, although I've never needed it myself.

If you keep up with regular maintenance, rinse the reel off with fresh water after every use, and loosen the drag knob when storing the reel, chances are you won't have to worry about the Abel warranty. My Super 8 hasn't skipped a beat in the 8 years I've had it.
