Pointer Boats

Anyone have any experience with Pointer (17 ft side console specifically, but their boats in general). I believe they were built in Canada...out of business now. (I'm not refering to the antique log-driving designs.)

Loon.... At one time I was a dealer for those boats... What do you want to know about them? I'd love to find one myself...I always regretted selling the last one I had in stock

I have an 83 Pointer 18 center console. I'm pretty sure Pointers were made in Maine, and when they went out of business the molds were sold to Seaway, which eventually got sold to Eastern. At one point Eastern made a CC they called the Seaway 19, which is pretty similar to my boat. I have a buddy who used to have a side console Pointer, but I think it may have been a 15 footer. So I might be able to answer your questions. I'm in Portsmouth, NH, and there are a couple of other Pointers in the water up here.
