I heard the tail end of a conversation on one of the morning radio shows about an additive that is supposed to take care of the problems caused by mixing the fuels. The only thing that I heard that it is blue and used for marine engines. Does anyone have any info on this?

It's called K-100 and it seems to work pretty well. I've used it once in my boat, and my engines seemed to run a lot smoother.

there's another product by starbrite called startron that does seem to clear up gas a bit if you get crap in it.

Mixing of mtbe and e10 fuels doesn't cause problems in-and-of itself. You will have problems if you have water in your tank and/or have varnish inside your tank. check your racor filter frequently and hopefully you don't have much water in your fuel tank or you could get phase separation. don't add dry gas, as that is just more ethanol and would make the problem worse. I had no water in my tank and not much varnish. I've been filling up with e10 on top of mtbe all year and no problems whatsoever.
