I am in some need of some help......My fiance and I are planning a honeymoon in September and I am really wanting to get a day or two of fly fishing in while I am on the excursion (she even agreed!!). I realize that it is hurricane season in the Carribean at this time, so that is why I am writing. Does anyone have any information on where we could go to enjoy the honeymoon yet get into some fish? I am not particular on the type of fish that I catch, however, I want to do it on the fly rod. I have had some bad experiences with guides in Florida, so I would also appreciate any information on a good guide service where ever you can give me informaiton on. Thanks so much for the information.

If Caribbean- Eleuthera- check out all our various threads- Harbor Island would be a great honeymoon spot or look at other places on the island if you want a little less refinement.
If New England- Nantucket- great fishing and great honeymoon. --127-3-

It really depends on what you want to spend and where you're staying. In the bahamas you'll be fishing mostly for bonefish but could see a tarpon or permit as well.
The North Riding Point Club located on Grand Bahama Island is GREAT!
Check out fishing opportunities on Exuma Island too.
Mexico has great fly-fishing opportunities as well. Check out Boca Pilla or Playa Blanca or head to Costa Rica.

Don't mix business with Pleasure, you can get Married anytime. --123-3
If you don't care about the type of fish and with it going to be in Prime Hurricane season you may want to consider East Central FL so you can get out if a big one is heading for you. Then set up a week Bonefishing trip for May!

If it's the Bahamas you want check out the Rainbow Inn websight.
Rain bow is on the Island of Elwuthera which is know as the D.I.Y Bonefish Capitial of the world. Know need for a guide. check out all the information on this sight. If you got to Rainbow and ask Krabby he will give you a free guide on the best beaches to fish.
