Napatree Beach

I am planning to fish the Charlestown area over the next four days and was wondering if anyone has reports around Napatree Beach, Matunick, or any of the Breachways? Thanks in advance.

Please see my post below about fishing Quonnie breachway and pond on Saturday.

My wife and I paddled our kayaks from the Barn Island launch over to Napatree on Sunday. I had the rods along but only fished for a few minutes. I saw some nice sized schoolies in the little pond/cove on the bay side of Napatree. I tossed a jig at them for a few minutes with no success. It was too windy for the fly rod. I didn't see any sign of fish on the ocean side of Napatree.

One thing to watch out for is all the ticks. I picked a few off me just from the fifty yard walk through the grass from the bay to the ocean side of the point.

I might go back down there on Saturday. Please let me know how you did. If you see a guy in a wooden kayak (green hull and clear finish deck) with two rods in holders, say hello.
