Just had a small group return from a Mexico tarpon trip- all small tarpon on 9wt's range from 5-30lbs. Had a great time. Hooked on average 3-10 tarpon per person/day. Landing is another story!! Lots of spectacular jumps and fights but alot of spit hooks as well. Campeche is the place- just be careful when booking there are 3 outfitters working down there now and only one I consider to be the real deal. Nice clear flats and mangrove edges...awesome stuff.
