5/15 Nada in Hampton

Got out for a couple hours last night on Hampton Harbor.
Wrong tide, almost dead low, but it was a shakedown cruise so you take what you get.

Through the clousers for two hours with nothing to show. Not a bump, hit or strike.

Took a short jaunt out beyond the mouth and marked what appeared to be some fish below some comerants, but couldn't raise anything.

This sunday we'll give it another try weather permitting.

Bummer to hear they aren't in yet. I think it's interesting that, if my memory is right, I've gotten my first striper in each of the past 2 seasons on the Taylor River at the railroad trestle right on or about May 16. Guess, at least by that standard, they are late this year. Work schedule willing, I am going to take my first shot at them there on Friday.
