A flyfishing related post, on a fly fishing website, and not one reply!

I would like to hear more about this reel, and what people think of multipliers in general.

They seem to put the LA argument to shame, while saving knuckles, and also looking much more like a classic saltwater reel. My one concern is the ease of changing spools.

I had one years ago, I think it was a Shakespere. 3-1 ratio.
I used it on a 5wt sink line and 30ft 4lb leader, for trolling
for landlocks [ice-out] Moosehead lake. It had a poor drag
but you could get a lotta line in in a hurry.
I have had times on the salt that I wished I still had one.
Stripers and blues that swim at the boat faster than I could
reel. I have never seen a high end multiplyer.

Moxie,

I have raised the issue of multipliers on a competing website. I will just say that I completely agree with you and can't wait for the upcoming TFO/Hayden AR multiplier that I know must be coming soon.
