Hi All,
Broke a spin rod recently and have been using fly tackle for the last few years almost exclusively so I am not fully up to date on my spiinning gear lingo and choices...

Wondering what your favorite boat rods are?
Do you ever use them from Shore as well?

I really like the feel of the St. Croix Tidemaster series.
1pc/ MH Power / Fast Action 7'/ 1/2-1.5oz / 10-20lb line
Wondering if this is a tad big for the boat?

Currently using 8yr old St. Croix Premier 7' TS70MM 6-12 but the sucker has a STIFF tip (and a few ugly sticks for guests and their kids)

I'd like to keep it under $200. So the Loomis sticks are out. I am open to all suggestions and brands.

Generally fishing the Northeast (NH) from our boat. I have a 9' Ben Doerr rod for slinging plugs from shore...

I use this rod matched with a Slammer 460 for just about everything. I love it!!!

St Croix XHXF.(Xytra heavy Xtra fast) they aren't producing them on the website anymore, but FIn and Feather, which I think is in Essex, had a few of em left when my buddy was up there last weekend.

I've got some 6'6 tidemasters matched up with Penn 450ssg's. I like them. At times I wish they were 7's. great rods though.
