It was real late in the morning by the time I got things squared away at the house, but I needed to get my daily FF fix. I headed to the mud flats at the West end of the canal and put on the waders and threw a herring pattern on a 300gr from about 1000 to 1230. Not the best time of day to be there. Nothing for me but I talked to an older guy wading and livelining. He said he had 5 for the day all around 32". He had been there since 0700. He said he had 1 herring cut in half and 1 leader cut off. We both assume that it was blues. I hope this helps others. My luck in the canal is limited. Give me a boat anyday
