Any suggestions? I cast these two. Very different. I'd like to try something in between if there is such a beast. Looking for it as a large tarpon rod mainly, possibly used for king salmon as well. I never fished a 12wt, but I use a Winston XD LT for a 10wt and like it a lot with sinking lines and less with floating, but all around it serves the purpose. Appreciate all $.02 USD

My tarpon rod which I use for sbft is the GLoomis Cross Current. For Tuna I've used the 500 grn leviathan. Cast great

I agreed with the G Loomis CC rods. I really like them. The grip is a bit fatter up front which I find more comfortable. Pretty good price too at $395.

Is the GLX worth the $$ over GL3?

I have a TFO TiCrX 12W and for the money it's a nice rod. Very fast rod.

I would go with the CrossCurrent. The GL3 and GLX are very different rods. The CC and GLX are closer, but it's much less $$.

I've got the 15 wt. CC and 12 wt. CC GLX. They're both great rods.
