I fished Cotuit last night with a great bunch of guys. We were waded out about 100 yards and the bluefishing was excellent. I was wondering if any of the guys I was fishing with are posters on this forum?

Scott, were you with the group that included a guy named Marc and one named Sully? they were fishing to my left and there were several to my right. I had brown waders and a black and white checkered flannel.

I also did well, caught at least 20 fish some up to 10lbs.. There is nothing like a good work out fighting nice blues like that. From 6:30 to dark it was a hit on every cast.

Did thing pretty much die off after dark? I would like to head down there, but I think it would be about dark by the time I get there. Wasn't he tide fairly low at that time of the day? I usually do better on the high tide for blues on the South Cape.

Things got a little slower around dusk so that is when I headed out. The tide was low when I arrived at about 5:00 and I made about 75 casts before the fish stared hitting around 6:30. That was about an hour after the tide started to come in. The fish were filled with squid and were spitting the things out as they were being released.

Thanks for the report Scott. I won't be able to get down there until Saturday. The late morning early afternoon tides are looking pretty good.
