I am comfortable sharing this report (courtesy of Capt. C Scali) because I know that no matter how bombastic the fishing may be, people just won't flock to the North Shore:
Last night fromm 4-sunset Albies were feeding in good numbers from Rocky Point East to Herod Point. All in tight to the beaches with little associated bird activity. You just have to motor along the beach til you see them, cut the engine, and drift with them. Private pods of albies, not a soul around, and of course the accompanying blues to make you glad you tied 25 flies earlier in the week.
Also - horsed one blue to the boat only to have it literally inhaled by an effing submarine bass that tore off line like a freight train - all the way to the bottom....only to spit out the 2lb blue....
Did someone say adrenaline... --127-3-
