With this weeks full moon and the return to 4 tide days, I thought this was the "week" to catch some Snook at night. We set out Monday night with a well full of greenbacks, looking for some dock lights that held some 'logs'.
The windy conditions precluded me from bringing the 9wt.

We saw very few Snook that night, but the trout and Mangrove Snapper certainly made up for the lack of linesiders. We caught and kept 6 rather large 'Mangos for the skillet, and released all of the Trout.

At one particular dock, we kept getting cut off by something. Thinking there was some type of structure, I employed a larger rod that held stronger line. On the very first cast, a freight train of a fish smashed my bait. After a brief struggle, a 25inch Goliath grouper was boatside.
After admiring this soon to be beast, we released her and headed home.

Regards,
Capt. Chuck MacIntyre
