I haven't fished there in a while. but I'm hoping to fish the beginning of next week for a few days. I have to get work issues in order so I can get away for a couple of days.

out there almost every day, fishing has been pretty good, wind has kind of sucked. this board has kind of gotten away from fly fishing, which is all i do, and i have been really busy working, so less reports. maybe that's why there are so few other guys writing (especially older posters), just a guess...

Reports take time and effort to post, particularly illustrated ones. They often get a big yawn. I am not sure whether this is a board that wants reports or not. Perhaps that would be a good question to ask the higher echelon on RT.

Some fishing boards really encourage reports and some discourage them. I have not figured out RT yet. I am on one Chesapeake Bay fishing board that has multiple reports every day. Big secrets are rarely revealed but at least you know whether fish are being caught.

I fish out of jones ... and I usually report whenever I go out. Again no big secrets but just a sense of what the fish are doing. Seems like a lot of people look but no one wants to talk.....typical nyers....lol. I contunue to do it because believe it or not i'v made some pretty good contact with people that I now talk to on the water. I'v actually gotten called in on some activity by these guys and have tried to call them in on occasion. Hey when you are a weekend warrior every little bit of intel helps and the more eyes looking for fish the better (to a point).

Fished Tuesday from 3:00pm till 7:00 off sandy. Found blues 1/2 mile off the beach,100's of birds. Earlier before 12:00 we heard there were stripers under the blues. Fun 8lbs blues on 8wt, but no albies or stripers. Towards dark fished one of the shoals and caught 1 schoolie bass. Small decievers to match the bait. We saw a bunch of rescuers and helicopters, a surf fisherman at plum island drowned. Anyone here anything on that? NE winds this weekend  Maybe after this blow the madness will realy start --125-3

i'd check the weather before heading out--saturday calls for 22-30 knot east winds, with 12 foot seas.

I am ;) but not in your neck of the woods, because it hasn't been good there...fishing from SH south and out, we're catching SBFT, albies, and a lot of blues. Bass fishing is phenominal on my side on the flats at HW, but bnot into to them now....burning the fuel searching for pelagics.

Some days are good, some are ok, and others are a bust. Nothing consistent and the weather pattern every 7 days screw things up, think about it. When have we had such much east wind, or south, or weekend storms that just shut it down. A lot of local fly rodders with bay boats are not fishing, or if they are having nothing great to report. Or if they are having good fishing, like myself not posting

But we are out there, with the exception of today and the rest of this another blow our week end!
