I'll be in Fort Lauderdale later this week. Does anyone know of any good guides for fly and light tackle? It would be for 3 anglers (2 spin, 1 fly). Thanks for the help.

Go down to Miami or up to Stuart. The inshore opportunities in Ft Lauderdale are limited, especially for fly guys.

Remember that what we call inshore here up north is offshore down there. A mile offshore and you're off the edge of the continental shelf and catching sailfish, dorado, tuna as well as other offshore species. Inshore down there almost literally means tight to the beaches or back in the intercoastal waterway.

guess i should have called it "near shore" fishing - looking for Kingfish, bonita, spanish mackerel & cero mackerel etc... thought it would be easy to find a guide - it's turning out to be more laborious- annyone know of any good fly shops in the area?

Yeah, that's a trip that would be considered an 'offshore trip' down there despite the fact that you're not going much further out (if at all) than you would up here if you were fluke fishing.

Sorry I can't help U out, as my boat is up north w/my truck & I can't pull my skiff w/o it. If your willing to drive 45 minute's north i'm sure I can get somebody for U.

Are a few that come to mind first. All of these guys are Miami guys and might be able to pick you up in Ft Lauderdale. The fishing off of Miami is much better than Ft Lauderdale and worth the 40 minute drive.
