Got out at day break- Headed to Coney Island NO sign of life, from there Breezy Point Big Zero-then to Sandy Hook NOthing!! Then to Great kills, figured there's always bluefish there NOTHING!! Zig zagged Rairitan Bay, still no signs no birds no fish. Took a crap shot and ran back to Breezy Point AHHHHHHHH finally --127-3- Not much bird action but loads of schoolie stripers all in the rips, everyone hooking up, even guys on jetty, lasted about an hour then POOF they disappeared, tide was still moving. On the way back up north found another very large school of schoolie stripers and jigged about 30 more. The schoolies were from 18" to a few @ 26" Thank God gas prices dropped - put on 80 miles. Weather was perfect -- But I feel all the rain and past heavy winds dispersed the fish and bait for a while.

Are you headed out this weekend. Looks nice. Maybe this colder weather will pick things up a bit. Thanks for the reports, would love one from this weekend if you're out -- I have to travel to PA or I'd be out there myself!

Luyen Fished Sunday, found action right away in NY Harbor, so I stayed with it, had about 40 schoolies to 29" most were in the 22" to 25" range. All jigged NO bait! After action died went out to Nortons Point and Coney Island, searched around, found very little action, jigged 2 more schoolies by the parachute jump.
