I don't have a season! :brow

My target will be perch, crappies, and carp in the next couple weeks--that bite stays good til ice up. Of course the occasional striper trip will be in the mix. If the weather and the wife hold up, the keeper of the month club will continue!!

I think most who do the winter striper thing just don't fess up to it. They think it is a secret that stripers winter over in most rivers and estuaries in MA and CT. If you consistently fish deeper water where salt and fresh mix, you will find them. Stripers can be active in freshwater in the cold too--they are caught in fast current at the Enfield dam every winter.

I've just occasionally dabbled with the holdover fishery except two years ago when I hit a certain Sandwich creek very hard (it was a great month and a half). However, Slappy is my inspiration to a greater dedication :brow
