This past week has been a lot of fun. The fishing here around the boca grande area for snook and reds has been great. I have had most of my success on the low incoming tides while wade fishing the flats in the middle of the day for snook and reds. Anything on top that makes a little noise fished slowly will bring a vicious stike.

In addition we headed down to the Everglades for a few days to chase Tarpon on the fly and found huge school of Tarpon ranging in size from 2-100 lbs. We did well on the larger Tarpon around the outside of the glades around low tide and found schools staging up and trashing bait schools on the surface. It is so great to see these awesome animals leaping out of the water, and agressively chasing bait. We also headed into the back county to fly fish for smaller Tarpon and hooked up with them in some really cool shallow bays at the tops of a couple different river systems. At one point we were casting to Tarpon that were 50-70 lbs. in less than 3' of water. In addition we found some that were actually basking on mud flats that were only a foot deep.

There was also some great Snook and Redfish action in the Glades/ 10,000 islands area and we managed to loose all the large Snook we hooked AGAIN...
