Bill,
I heard there was a good bite today. If the weather stays consistent it may last for a while...or not.

john I wasnt there but I heard lots were seen along the atlantic beach coast line all the way down to emerald isle, if I was going, I would go out of beaufort inlet and hang a right, stay a mile off shore and look for birds.
I wish I could join ya,
stay safe and let us know how you do.

Steve,
I fished for trout from shore today at the sheraton in atlantic beach. Had a large group of albies and birds appear and work there way down the beach. I walked down the beach along side them for a half hour waiting for them to edge in a little closer into casting range...they never did. I left them and they were still going off. I decided to go out and chase them down tomorrow via boat but several folks said they made the run from the beaufort inlet to atlantic beach and saw nothing today. I was a little scared that I may have seen the only albies anywhere around until you replied. Thanks for the confidence builder, I'll report back tomorrow night.

may the albie gods be with ya john, lol
its great to target them this time of year, no out of staters around, and the locals are chasing kings, trout and drum.
crusing that AB shore line down 10 miles and back is all you need to do,
they could pop up at anytime, this year at the shoals we left an area with a few birds around only to come back a 1/2 later and have albies all around us.
dont pass up birds sitting in the water together either,
hope ya hooked up John.

Fished from the Sheraton where I met up with Albert B and nothing. Then headed to the Point and again nothing. Over to the East side again nothing. Not that we didn't see some up and down but everything said and done "NOTHING" (NADA-ZILCH) and so on.............:(

Ran from Beaufort inlet to past the Sheraton and then to the Walmart parking lot (Lookout Jetty) and back. Came up on a few small pods working the bait halfway down shackleford (no birds around). It took two minutes for several other boats to catch us zigzagging and join in. I might have hooked one if it weren't for captain "run and gun" who kept running over every pod that popped up...I seriously wonder if he was trying to chop them up with his prop. Oh well.
