Well, thanks all again who hooked me up with a few spots....It made my trip so much better and it will be an annual event now!
First day Kath & I hit Glen Island, it was the day before T-Day and a sizeable low pressure storm was on our heals - I was keeping my fingers crossed for good success.....We made our way around all 105 acers and my fishing bud got a nice 20+ striper that was quite fat.....I helped her land it and before I let it go a bunch of Mexican workers came rushing over to check it out and made hand motions for it to be held up for them to see and when I did the all cheered and clapped - who needs language when we all can appreciate fish?:D
Did not take pics that day....Wind was gusting up to 35 and hail was pelting us when we finally called it quits....With the wind and all the discolored water we used the ugly sticks with a chartreuse softbody 4\" swimming shad .....
Day after T-Day we hit a place called Playland and started on the rocks and round to a lake outlet that’s known for eel population, in fact the Italians can get enough of them and try to scare the stripers and blues away
Near the outlet is a narrow bay that has rocks on the far side [Oh, would of loved to be on those rocks!] and a beach on our side.....I did print some nautical maps for water depths and found this to be a likely area for stripers to corral and trap bait......Only busting I saw was on the far side off those unreachable rocks.....
As the evening got darker my buddy had lost a number of softbodys......lined her up with a bunker and I was finishing my knot when she started to make the strangest sounds 'Whoooooo'
I took one look at her rod and knew she had a nice fish on......I coached her on the give a take until it was at our feet and I stepped in and lipped this nice 26+ [almost a keeper].

She was tickled pink! Which is great since she could not catch’em on the fly in Ogunquit.....
Now I will have it know I wanted her to lip her own fish and have a pic taken and she refused....I can’t convince her to do it again since she was blooded by this bow in the spring...

Between us both we landed only 5 fish and missed just a few strikes. I would gather majority of the school had made it’s way south of us with the little action we had.....I saw no busting bait out in the sound at all and we went by it every day.....
All dressed up with a fish :P - Ruined my shoes     as if I care!

I tried to get my nephew interested, but kids today have a busy scheduled life and I don’t think he has much interest at the moment....That’s ok, never knew when the illness will strike
Thanks again!
