Ha you know me B! Gary is booked for weeks I did find a guy named Jeff deBrown who guide with a local capt. I guess americans cant profit driving the boat so they hire a local w a ponga and Jeff guides. It is a bit more cost effective. Anyone know him?

I have fished with both Grant Hartman http://www.baja-anglers.com and Jeff DeBrown http://www.thereelbaja.com they do not fish the same water so if you are going to be in Cabo proper, which I imagine you will be for a wedding, you will need to contact Grant. His operation is the best fly and light tackle operation I have found outside the united states. If you are going to be up North on the Sea of Cortez I would call Jeff.

Alright, so nobody's perfect. However, about 10 years ago I booked a trip with old Grant and BajaAnglers, and had it e-mail confirmed, etc., even talked to Grant on the phone to Mexico beforehand. I showed up at the designated time and date and was told at the shop that Grant was out of town entertaining other clients somewhere on the East Cape, essentially scrapping/abandonning my trip without any notice. When I returned to MA, I called and spoke with the Gunns (Wendy, I think) in Arizona, who run/own BajaAnglers, to complain. Later, Grant called me from Mexico to apologize and offered a free outing the next time I was in Cabo. Terrific! Only one $1500 wasted round-trip airfare later!

Also, a reputable guide who used to be affiliated with reel-time, took a winter off to guide with BajaAnglers subsequent to my experience, and he had one particularly horrendous experience involving them where a client of theirs actually died in an accident during a flyfishing outing, evidently got crushed under the boat near the shoreline.

Maybe the operation has gotten better since, but if so, it has been at the expense of others.

Hey, I have guided for Gary Graham, and he is definately great and knows the East Cape area better than anyone. I also know Jeff Debrown, equally amazing guide. You cant go wrong with either one. Good luck mate.
