After hearing the reports about big bass on the south shore, and with visions of herring dancing through my head, I took the high seas in a reindeer driven sleigh (OK it was a boat, guided by Brendan McCarthy) to find not a creature was sturring, not even a mouse.

that was hysterical guys....Still loads of bass around ..plenty of birds diving and lots of action around the jones beach area. West bar was lit up pretty good today and the weather looks great for anyone who can go tomorrow or tuesday. Asking santa to let me keep the boat in for another weekend.

Breezy went off this morning as well. From sun-up until about 7:30 it was a fish on every cast. Made up nicely for last Thursday...

Saw a 9" long Herring lying on the beach right next to the jetty as well as some small bait in the wash.

This week looks good temp wise. 50's all week. Nice way to stretch the season. If this keeps up I'll be using some of my new Christmas gifts on the 26th.

yeah guys, there are fish everywhere... forget about santa, go catch some fish, we had 30 or so today, to 35", all on medium bunker patterns. boat will be in the water till the real santa comes.

Caught a few schoolies this AM before work at the BP jetty, then chased a huge pod of birds at Riis only to find a big fat butter fish flopping around on the beach, as well as a half eaten, still-breathing striper when I got there. The carnage must have been awesome...kind of like walking into a crime scene!

I think the Blue fish did it.
