For some, nothing compares to living on beachfront property. People that build on the beach know the risks. I think you have to be willing to loose it all at any given time. I don't have that kind of money to live that close and I if I did, I wouldn't build ocean front. I'm not willing to put my hard earned money out there for nature to decide it's fate. I wonder what their homeowners insurance bill is. Alot of companies are pulling out now because of Katrina.

What bugs me is that we're paying to replace some of these houses with federal flood insurance. After they get wrecked again, we pay again, and again....

I agree beachfront property is nice, but that's insane!
