So I'm just curious what fishing trips people have planned for next year? I just booked 3 nights in Grand Lake Stream for June! --127-3-

I'll be staying at Canal Side cabins this year. I've stayed at Indian Rock camps in the past.

Right now I have a week in Montana in July, a week for stripers in Maine in July and 3 days in Morehead City in November. If things work out there could be a trip to Tampa and the Delaware. Come on Spring.

I'll take my annual trip to SW Montana, probably in July depending on snow pack.

I will also do a one day inshore expedition for reds/bass/etc. as part of my family vacation on Tybee Island, GA. I took the fly rod last year, and even saw finning reds one day, but all the fishing I did was chunking with the kids on the pier. This time I am planning ahead a bit more...

I forgot about my other trip, 2 days solo on the Housatonic, sleeping in the back of my car. I did it for the first time this year to unwind after a long, tough summer, and I've decided to make it an annual pilgrimage. I got my personal best trout there this year (~21-22" brown). --127-3-

Aruba in April. Snook and Bones. DIY trips are the best.

Was it a brown or a rainbow? I grown up fishing the Housie and my best was 24" taken on opening day with a 4 weight and stone fly nymph. Basking in my glory, because you could take a trophy trout back then, I strolled the path back to the car only to come across a guy with a brookie that was a half in bigger! That was in the mid 70's just before they shut down the river because GE was dumping PCB's in it.

I was a member of two clubs that stocked the river each year and we used to put some honkin' rainbows in just below the TMA. I'll have to get back there again this year.

It was a brown. I took it on a size 12 black bead head woolly bugger on my 4 wt rod with 7X tippet.
