I need to come down to Harkers this spring to pick up my boat from the Jones Brothers factory. As of now I am leaning toward coming down over the long Easter weekend to enable me to possibly stay and fish a day or two. Is that too early for the spring run of Bonito and Albies? Are there other species I should focus on? I will be in a 20ft Jones.
Thanks,
Sean

BIG RED DRUM! Head north a bit to Portsmouth island or around Ocracoke inlet. We hit then good just outside the breakers along the beach. Hopkins, bucktail jigs with a curly tail. White, Chartruese, Pink. A ferry leaves Cedar island and goes to Silver lake(Ocracoke). Another leaves the Northern end of Ocracoke and is free to Hatteras. Check out the Pony island for a cheap room and good breakfast(Grits!) also Tradewinds bait and tackle for fish reports on their website.(updated daily) shoot me an email for other info.
