Fort Myers beach Help

the wife and I will be in Ft. Myers area 2/5 - 2/9. I'm a long time striper guy looking for some area advice (fly/lt. spin). Any ideas greatly appreciated.
P.S. I always wanted to try the redfish.

Stop by Lee Island Outfitters fly shop on Summerland ( same road to Sanibel-Captiva & Ft Myers Beach ) for current info. Use SEARCH this forum & type in Fort Myers/Sanibel-Captiva for links to more info. The redfish won't be on the beach, but in the backcountry with snook. Sea trout are on the grass flats. Beaches might have whiting, pompano, spanish mackeral, sheepshead & other species to cast a fly to. The Fort Myers News Press newspapers sports section on Friday has the area fishing reports.
