cant make a wrong decision with bean given 100% satisfaction guarantee. ive returned mine after 5 years hard use with small leak in foot. express exchange allowed me a new pair inside of 72 hours with no shipping cost. no one else can beat that policy or turnover.

The best I've used, I really like the suspender system. Excellent guarantee, too. Gotta get over the whole 'Patagucci' stigma though.

I really like my Cabela's breathable lace-up boot-foot waders.

I'll vote once again for the Bean waders. They're tough, the exchange policy cannot be beat (and I've seen it in action), and the price is great.
I have Bean waders that are 4-5 years old and have zero leaks. They just came out with a lightweight wader for $59, stocking foot and $89 (?) for boot foot. Given the guarantee they can't be beat.

I don't know what size you wear, or whether you want boot foot or stocking foot, but I just received a brand new pair of Orvis silver label boot foots on EBAY for $99. They are $239 normally. This is my second pair, and I have been very happy with the first pair. It's just that I am experiencing an unexpected growth spurt as I approach thirty years old.

There's a bunch of "closeout" waders right now at Sierra Trading Post

Try Sorbus in Masphee Commons. I was there last week and picked up a pair at a very decent price. They did have about 7 or 8 pairs left. Give them a call and ask what they have left.

I have had these for three years now, they have with stood south country rocks at night and many freestone streams from MA,NH and ME.
never mind the puckerbrush stramside hikes. cheap and comfortable.

I vote for the LL Bean waders for all the reasons everyone else stated. Get the Emerger's. I fish 4 to 5 times a week and they are great, the return policy is great and now that they have a store in Burlington it's not as bad as going to Maine. I know it's still a long ride from the Cape, but it's good to know in a pinch. I got a LL bean credit card and now order stuff and get the free shipping, I just pay it when the bill comes in, it saves a lot of gas.

hey how far away is burlington from the cape? i drive a company car so i dont mind wasting the gas and if you know the winters on the cape its pretty boring. so i wouldnt mind wasting 1/2 a day to get some waders. online they are out of stock until march so maybe they will have them there. im also looking for a 10wt hmmm (#$119)

orvis guidewear or patagonia bootfoot, can't go wrong with either brand. you may pay more but they both back up thier products.

patagonia would be my choice as your able to roll down the tops on a warm day.

Again, stay with LL Bean, I have the Ultralight II, they have been great, cost $99.00 for Stealth Soles. Easy on and off and very light, think you would be very happy.

I have a pair of the westbranch stockingfoot for all the reasons stated above. I would say just be careful with sizing. No problems with leaks so far. They feet a little short to me. I had Cabelas, Orvis and these beans and they just feel shorter than they should. Anyone else have this problem?

I've actually had some problems this winter with buying long johns from LL Bean. After two (2!) pair being mis-packaged, I finally got the mid-weight mediums I actually wanted in the first place... and they were remarkably short. I gave them to my wife because I didn't want to go back to them a third time for long underwear (I just changed dealers altogether). She went to the dog park last weekend, came home and asked: "why are these so short?"
So... yeah, short. Don't know how that relates to the waders, but something to think about.
