Don't know where you are at but Scott at the Beaar's Den in Taunton, MA has at least 24 color combinations of the Abrames style saddles. I think the top grade is $30.00 but a call would verify that.

Try to visit Saltwater Edge , they will be getting the Flatwing utility hackles as soon as Whiting releases them. In the mean time try Fly Tyer Variant on the web. You can also try Fin and Feather in E. Greenwich RI , Talk to Steve Cook.
Also "Down N trout" in New Jersey has some feathers which may be suitable.

Glad you got the "meat" of the flatwing style of tying down! :cool:

I've got nother vote for Scott at the Bear's Ben. He has a bunch of the new "Ideal for striped bass flatwing" Euro hackles from whitting. They Are Killer!
Scott's an alright guy as well.

Do you know what colors Scott has in the store? Are they labled "Flatwing Utility Hackles" Very nice feathers if they are from Whiting :) .

i have to agree on the recommendations of scot at bear's den. first class all the way.. HOWEVER smitty at the rodbuilder's workshop in kingston ma is selling his remaining inventory of flatwing saddles and hackles at 50% off!!!!

Scott has the MEGA select Whiting Euro Hackles that got dyed in stiper friendly colors and labled "research and development" and "for striped bass flatwings"
