so the water is starting to open up and my casting arm is getting twitchy. If you could go after anything right now what would it be? trout, perch, bass? and where? I'm thinking a small brook that holds trout but maybe ill try the bass pond. What would you guys do?

Locally in Newburyport over my March break, which starts this weekend, I'll be tossing some shiners out along the edges of flats for bass and pickerel, with the current amount of ice left on the ponds it looks like it might be mostly pickerely though, they seem to go shallow before the bass.

Thanks man, I talked to my Dad today up in Newburyport (I'm at URI), and he said there was still a good amount of ice on the ponds and on the Merrimac.
