FLA crab fly coloration?

I now have some extremely crude crab flies I tied with tan backs. Any suggestions on whether I should color them (photos welcome)? I'll be in and around Boca grande and back up into the backwaters via kayak.

Try the EP fibers backcountry 3-D . Tie like a merkin & add a rattle on the underside ! :cool:

Do your crabs up in light tan and olive for most situations... You'll find that any crabs on tropical flats will very carefully match whatever the bottom color is. That's why you'll see such a variety from commercial tyers around the world. On some flats the crabs will be so pale they're almost white or... you get the idea. If I get a moment I'll post a crab or two here.
