Last fall I left my 26 ‘ Dusky center console “BITE ME” in Morehead City, North Carolina. Our plan is to fish there in April and hopscotch the boat by trailer up the coast, planning to arrive back in New Hampshire in late June. We hope to leave the boat, and take weekends/ long weekends in various “hot spots” essentially migrating home with the bass.
I am hoping that some of you might offer concrete suggestions for where and when to fish and for what, along the way. Local knowledge or experience is clearly the most valuable commodity for any type of fishing. This “spring tour” could be fabulous or disastrous, it really depends on “intelligence” gathering.
My buddies and I are fly fisherman who would rather not use other methods unless there was little hope of fly success. We do have a full compliment of gear including 20's 30's and have heavy gear available.
What are your ideas or daydreams ? Does anybody want to join us for any particular trip? If you have local expertise and can stand fishing with lawyers why not come along. Does anybody want to boat buddy up?
We are thinking Outer Banks, Virginia Beach, Cape May, the Chesapeake, NYC the Jersey Shore but we are not really fixated on anywhere but NYC.
The winter is at its worst right now but spring will soon arrive. This could be a fun discussion but it will be more fun to actually do and we are going to do it. Come on , you know its as great idea .....you want to answer....just do it.
