I was walking around the Sandwich hatchery late this afternoon, and they were tanking up the trout truck. I'll bet they will be starting tomorrow.:brow

They usually start stocking once the weather seems be warming and we're past the worst freezes. So I'm sure they'll be out today, tomorrow and this weekend.

Here in Connecticut they start on the first of March no matter what.
There's a lot of water to be stocked and they need to get the fish out of the hatchery to make room for the next class.
If the schedule can't be followed due to flooding or what ever, the fish get will get dumped in whatever body of water can best accomodate them.

They started last week and I have been having luck at Ashumet all week. I also fished little cliff yesterday and hooked up on a nice huskie 16" bow on the fly.

Lot of ice up here still in Central MA, although they did stock a few ponds in Central District through the ice last week. They stocked most Cape ponds for the first time last week and I'm sure they'll hit them again this week.

I've been out in Central Mass for most of the winter and looking forward to fishing, now that winter is on its' way out. Many of the ponds have been stocked through the ice in the past few weeks. The streams should be next. Barring heavy rains, those streams North and West of Worcester seem to be at very good and fishable levels.

When I use to stock we would often run in to people who would cheer as we went by, as if we were some kind of heros --127-3-
I understood how they felt. --125-3
