Thanks For This Report!
I grew up in Quincy and fished St Moritz all the time, Caught my first fish there actually.Hornpout on bacon. Was the best pond in the Blue Hills .Glad to see that it has'nt been completlly choked with weeds.
Used to catch huge crapie there where the two ponds meet behind the Skating rink. Started bucket biology there when I was in high school. Stocked bass from all over in there. I now know that was not a good thing to do. It was almost unfishable by midsumer in the early eighties .
Used to Fish Sunset as well, Decent pickeral and bass back in those days as well. Saw it on the stocking list as well for trout now, don't really see the scence in stocking there.
Have you tried Hillside in the blue hills, had pretty decent bass fishing.Houghtons was always OK, liked to fish there in the fall. Caught some nice browns there.
Have to bring my Daughter there to fish for all times sake
Thanks
Mike
