I spent Sunday afternoon checking out streams NW of Worcester. E.Branch Swift, Ware(several branches), Conesto, Burnshirt, etc., etc.
Apparently not enough snowpack this year to cause a high water runoff. Still a lot of ice on the sloughs and ponds but the ongoing rain this week will no doubt get rid of most of that. Spoke to a fisheries person and he advised that some streams may be stocked next week unless we get heavy rains in the interim. I did manage a small holdover on a leach pattern in a very small trib of the Ware River about a mile from my daughters' yesterday morning.
Larry C. and I plan to take a trip out to the Millers and Deerfield Saturday.
