I will be vacationing in MB in July. I know it will be crowded and hot at that time, but was hoping someone could give some advice on a place to flyfish around MB, besides the surf, of course.

Well pal, there is only a few places to really get your rocks of on a fly in myrtle beach..and majority if not all of them have to be accessed by boat. And these places are actually located out of the GRAND STRANDS beaches and inlets...your best best might be to do some bass fishing on the local golf courses and/or road side ponds around the area..stay in touch with me over the next few weeks..if I am in town during your visit, I will be glad to put you on some action...somewhere/somehow..later

Thanks, unfortunately I won't be pulling my skiff on this trip. I have to pull my parents camper for them. Hopefully I will be able to get some fishing in, though.

look at options out of Georgetown. See last month's issue of SaltWater Sportsman. Fished out of G'town in mid July '05. We were fishing cut bait around the jetties for big reds, they were bitting like crazy. It ain't fly fishing, but still fun.
