There was an interesting thread on the wmi.org board on this problem so I thought I'd pass it along.
Cleaning out all my gear at the end of the year, I discovered my Baitrunner 6500's anti-reverse had failed. I delined it, figured I'd clean it out, and deal with it over the winter. After cleaning w/ soap and water, lightly lubing/coating with triflo and drying, my anti-reverse worked again. Lucky me. I had given this no more thought until I saw the the SWF homepage thread with over a dozen people who have been experiencing intermittant anti-reverse failure on all three baitrunner models--works one day, doesn't the next.
I have not taken mine apart as it looks a little more complicated than my Penns, but has anyone else had this same problem? I'd be interested to hear...
