A day off in Weipa

Had a day off today so decided to take my 10 year old son Johnny for a flyfish on the beach, catching the early morning tide. An opportunity for a little practices fly casting for Johnny.

Found a Manta, no fish following.

Out on the beach it wasn’t long before Johnny was hooked up.

With the early morning sun being so low in the sky it was hard to spot the fish until they where right under your feet good thing they don’t spook easily.

Found this ten foot Croc lying on the bottom on the way home, “this one we’d better not tell mum about ”.

Those are cool lookin fish but the post is in the wrong category. Though maybe we can create an Aussie category cause thats a quality post. Keep em comin.

maybe under "travel"...It doesnt matter to me anyway but it might get more views but I dont know...always like fishing pictures...do you eat these?
