beufort/morehead city kayak canoe launch points

looking for kayak access points to some of the area marshes and creeks that i can legally park at and launch a kayak from. was looking at google earth and there are some really good looking spots. just would like to know how to get to some of them. any tips would be great!!

Not a lot of access pts for yaks around here. Basically you have the regular boat ramps and a very few other spots. There is a spot on Front St in Beaufort towards the post office. The Radio Island pier that you can see on your left as you go across the br. from MHC gives you acccess to the little marshy area there, some fish in there too. The fish factory boat ramp at the end of Front Street in Beaufort gets you to the Rachel Carson marshes if you can drag your boat across Carrot Island. But really, I had a kayak, never put it in the water around here b/c access is so tight. ended up selling it to a guy... who lives in a house on the water. Maybe some other folks have had better success than I have in finding other kayak launches.
