I was pleasantly surprised today when I called into FinNor, now owned by Zebco. I have a low end spinning reel that I purchased for the boat during a time when things were going overboard so at the time the low quality reel seemed more cost effective. The reel functions as well as it ever did, the drag is nothing to write home about but works fine for small bass and blues. The problem is the screws are all starting to rust out.
So I give the support line a call, get transferred over to a live person, no hold time. The lady I spoke with goes and finds the box of parts they got at the time of the buy out, hooks me up and drops them in the mail.
I'll hit the screws with some clear nail polish and get a couple more years out of this reel, unless it goes overboard:eek:.
