First reel I ever bought. It's my lucky reel, but the drag knob is stripped now, and I can't find a replacement. No one has any, not even Penn. Discontinued as of over 6 years ago.

Anyone know where I might be able to find one? I've exhausted all my connections and contacts, and am at a loss.

I appreciate any help you guys could throw my way.

I would try Buko's in New Bedford,MA or Surfland in Newburyport MA they have been around awhile.

Worst Case

Have the Knob drilled out and bushing installed / taped, any gunsmith can do this for short money.

Marvin,

You rock. I spoke to way too many people, including the people at Penn. They had no more of those in stock and couldn't help me with someone who might carry it. They suggested a few more people, including OutdoorWolrd and a few other shops in the Keys, but no one could help me. I was about to send it to a gunsmith on a recommendation and have it re-tapped.

I appreciate all the help from everyone...

Richie,

While you're ordering, I'd also recommend getting an extra Part # 71B. It's an inexpensive part, but if your's goes, you're gonna be holding a pretty paperweight....
