Has anyone had any experience with this line. I spooled some 10 on my Penn and it was just awful stuff. I tried to re-spool some in three different ways and the stuff flies off the spool in wierd coils. Worse line I have ever used.

I have a spool of Berkley Vanish 12# that I use primarily as tippets on by fly line leaders. It works great for that use. Since a roll would probably last a few lifetimes for this use, I filled a spinning reel with it. It definitly acts different from regular mono. Like you said it seems to fly off the spool in coils. Dispite this, it does seem to cast pretty far.
Based on my experience with it in fly line leaders, I would suggest using only as leader material. Thats where the visibily attibutes are most important anyway.

I am primarily a conventional reel user and I have some 17lb. on my 5500 garcia. I have found it to work great. It comes off the spool strait and casts a mile. With spinning reels load the new line on with the top of the spool facing up as you load it onto your reel. Maybe this will help.

Definitely some of the worst line I've ever used, on both spinning and conventional. On conventional it takes a little longer to foul up. Due to its low stretch characteristics, you have a hard line with terrible memory problems. If you are not very careful to spool it correctly from the start, you'll have a mess in no time. Contrary to normal spinning spool loading, you should spool this line straight off the spool like you would for conventional gear. You DO NOT want to spool with the spool laying on the ground
