Was down in Chuck Town fishing with the 'bro over Labor Day weekend. The weather was weird for this time of the year relatively cool and very wet. However, the redfish sure didn't seem to mind. We fished the marshes during the flood tides with fly rods and made it out to the jetties one afternoon. Our best day included 3 fish on the fly (biggest 30") and 6 fish out at the jetties with all but one fish over 33" and the biggest came in at 46" (I'm guessing around 40lbs). Great trip.

For those that have fished Florida for Reds & have been disappointed seriously consider Charleston, SC. Enjoy the pics!

Love that grass fishing. What is the deal with the jetty thing? Is that on fly or other?

Jetty fishing is the "old school" way - live or fresh dead pogies. We were anchored up in just the right spot - we almost had to throw in the anchor float (keep a float on the rope just in case Mr. Tarpon shows up) on the big fish as she came very close to dumping a Penn 850SS with 25lbs. test.

Tide, Tide, Tide!!! It is everything.
