I read about the Polish Sandeel and the Ocean Lures Halfbeak. Where do we go to get these? I'm in the Boston area. Thanks.

Ocean Lures has a list of distributors on their website. Best to call ahead, as most places can't keep the popular models in stock.

CobiaMoby...support your local dealer..the online shop is never going to be there when you want info on what's happening locally or when you have an emergency repair needed before a trip. Support your local dealer, it will always be better for you in the end.

If he doesn't have the lure in stock, my bet is that he'll get it for you if you ask.

Cobia, First light isn't that far from you, you should give them a call, I think they will ship to you as well.

I was in Arlington last night picking up some top secret 9" plastic lures. He said that he had just sold a few of the polish sandeels--there were still plenty in stock if others are looking in the metro west area...

How about a source for proper size/strength leadhead hooks for use with sluggos? Nat from FLA I believe had posted a nice fish caught on one and was curious as to what terminal gear was used as all the leadheads I've found seem light for tuna use.

RonZ offers 2 and 3 ounce jig heads that are great for getting a soft plastic down deep quickly. Firstlight sells the Owner 1.5 oz. jig heads that work very well too. They were out of them yesterday when I was in the store but they may have gotten them in today. Definitely worth a stop in the store or a quick call.

Look under unicorns in the phone book...

Nobody wants a jighead with hooks that don't bend. They would never sell.(#$119)
