Has anyone had any experince with the Tibor Billy Pate Tarpon reel? I want to get a new set up, and I am contemplating purchasing this reel. It seems a tad heavy, but that doesn't bother me. How is the drag and how easy is it to maintain? I know it has alot of parts because it is anti-reverse-is it worth looking into?

Yes for both the bonefish and tarpon but before Tibor's were made and only in DD not ant/Ri...drag as good as abel or tibor but old heavy style ...if you are paying full retail get Tibor or abel big game 4N( the old model can be had much less than super series)
if you are "stealing it" and it's in good shape that's different

There is only one more part in the anti-reverse Pate than the direct drive ones and that is the handle. They are great reels, built like hockey pucks, and will last forever.

If you are going to be paying full retail for the Pate have a look at the Danielsson HD 9/13 reel for 430$ before making the purchase. Ive got one and its perfect and I like it better than my Tibor Gulfstream I had "GASP" anyways just a suggestion. Tibors are sick reels but I like the sealed drag and the cheaper spools which I may add are quick change system which the Pate is not. Just my 2 cents. Both are great reels it's all in the eye of the beholder.
