Please help. Fished Breezy Sunday. Lots of Blues. I was not able to catch any with my selection of flies. I know that the bay anchovy is a great pattern. I am assuming that the bait was bay anchovies. Does anyone know were I can purchase this pattern. Thanks.:confused:

There were a lot of blues that wouldn't hit anything you threw? Are you sure that they weren't funny fish aka bonito or false albacore? Breezy Pt can be a hot spot for them at this time of year.

Saw one albie caught. Alot of boats were not hooking up either. Any location to purchase bay anchovie pattern? Very frustratying four hours.

Hey irishflies, I'm shocked a pro like you not hooking up! Remember the day we counted how many stripers we could catch and release in fall in 30 minutes, think it was @75. Those were probably the albies and bonito off Rockaways, I was chasing them all over. Depends on strength of tide, and amount of bait around, once in frenzy you could throw a shoe and they will hit, other times it's finesse with fluro-carbon etc. I was getting em on small metal! And if they were blues and you couldn't connect TIME to start thinking about Golf! Just kiddin buddy hope to see ya on water soon!
