Shot up to Montauk on a quick 2 day trip. Mondays conditions where perfect with the fish a little picky with the clear sunny conditions and fishing pressure. Quick surfacings only alowing one cast, but we managed a dozen hookups throughout the day. Tues was a little diffrent. The morning started out with 10knt winds and a hookup here and there and a lot of run & gun combat fishing. Around noon things got worse and then turned into the best fishing i have ever experienced. Winds picked up to 20 knts plus w/ 2-3 foot swell/chop. 90% of the boats headed in, we were pretty bummed since it was being our last day and shot at albies. We stuck it out for an hour in speratic surfacing albies. With only a couple boats in sight we made a quick gun down beach. We spot one school on top, a couple more, & then albie madness. Schools thrashing on top on all out blitzes all to ourselves. No boat pressure and ruff conditions prooved to keep the albies on the surface. For 5 hours me and Andrew took turns running and gunning and hooking up on and average of every 15 mins. A short trip we will always remember, never felt so good to be this sore.
