I was out Monday until noon. We ran from Portland to Tantus, into Wood Island and back to Richmond. It was very quiet, almost no birds, and no bait on top. The weather was beautiful, nice boat ride.
Has anything happened the last two days? I'm looking forward to a post full moon bite!

"What you see is what you get"
I've been haunting the beaches on lunch break and after work in the Biddeford area and I haven't found anything happening. I'm hoping it just hasn't started yet.
Although a week ago there was tons of bait around.

I have a feeling your fish have moved south a bit...maybe not, but it sounds like that from other reports.

Last week was a totally different ball game up here. I haven't seen much near Portland other than stripers since Sunday.

Looks like things have slowed in a big way... not to say there is not tuna around. There will be "some" fish around for a couple weeks at least but possibly not in numbers to have alot of shots at them. It's tough to say because this week is not great tide wise for tuna feeds. The tides are HUGE and bait is not on top, even seems as most of the peanut bunker has moved off. There is lots of peanuts left but not in areas where tuna are going to find it. I did hear a decent report yesterday of tuna off Sahadnoc (sp?) ledge, between there (which is just east of Halfway rock) and around the Trinadad area which is just south/SE of there. Can't really confirm as I have not been out that way right now, makes sense though as it could be all the fish that were up between Sequin and Mohegan this summer. If you get out there please let us know what you see.... Good luck.
