anyone ever use it? It just like power pro, but thinner- 50lb line has the diameter of 10 lb test mono rather than 12 lb test mono as with power pro. Im thinkig about spooling an 8000 series reel with it to get 400 yards of line on the spool rather than 345.

Thanks!

Fished with a guide down in Charlotte Harbor Florida who swears by FINS. Used it that day with him on Tarpon, really could not tell the difference between FINS and Power Pro.

Both seemed to work just fine...

Not sure if it's thinner or not but I like the Suffix stuff. I'm sticking with the power pro on the conventional gear but like the way the Suffix handles on spin gear. I hate to even say it but it seems less prone to wind knots and the dreaded spool loop.

thanks guys.

funny, we tried suffix once and ditched it- the worst wind knots ever. suprising how much one persons experiences can be from anothers.

Ive had no issues wuith PP, just like the idea of thinner line for greater line capacity on the 8000 series reels we use for tuna.

george, do you know the diameter of the jerry brown 50, in terms of comparing it to mono?

Used Fins for the past few years. Good stuff, tougher to cast than power pro, much stiffer and it seems to absorb some water. I switched back to PP this year and like the way it cast better.Fins actually handes better as far as any wind knots go, very few but I think I'm sticking with PP again as I have had no trouble with it this year at all. Found they are all very similiar and the main reason you get any wind knot at all is overloading the spool with too much line.

Not sure of the exact diameters but it is similiar to PP if not a slight bit smaller.

What I also like about it is (as their manufacturer says)

" Line one is manufactured with finer filaments resulting in a smoother, more pliable line much the same as in aircraft cable, the more strands, the more flexible the wire, in this case line. Line One is uncoated, no messy dust or clumps of waxy residue to contend with, not to mention you will spool more line on due to its smaller, consistent diameter."

I will be putting it on all my "braid" reels next year.
