Ran straight east out of the Mack early Sun am. Hit scattered schools of bait in 75 to 180 ft of water. Saw numerous splashes and thought they were blues...but turned out to be tuna. Hooked one fish (about 120-150 lbs) on butterfly jig about 2 miles east of mouth. Line parted after 45 minute fight. Fish were scattered all along the 120 ft contour from Mack to HP. Fish are moving fast and its tough to get on them. Looks like the migration has started....and those ME fish may finally be starting to move south.
Lots of bait in tight to shore as well, blues and stripers on those pods.
The time is now.
